One of our awesome website visitors reached out via our ask us anything form to ask: What platform do you use for your website? We are sharing the answer with you in this blog post as well as a few other platforms that we use to bring you into our tech world. But before we do that we want to share that tech is not new to us. Kirsten has worked online since 2005 she started as a Virtual Assisant and transitioned to an online Automation Specialist where she consults and builds automation for her clients. So you may be surprised at the simplicity of the iprograms we use based on her experience.
When it comes to tech the more a tool can do the more work you have to do. We highly recommend when it comes to your tech keep it simple!
1. Strikingly – Our Website Builder
We use Strikingly to power our website because it’s simple, intuitive, and perfect for mobile-friendly designs. As nomads, we don’t always have hours to sit down and tweak complex website settings, so we love that Strikingly offers easy-to-use templates, built-in SEO features, and an e-commerce option for our digital products. It keeps things streamlined while allowing us to share our journey and services with our audience effortlessly. You will be amazed at the price of Strikingly and all that you get. And we must mention no matter what time of day or night we hit that chat button, someone jumps on right away to assist you!
We tried Wordpress in the past and it was just too much between keeping plug-in updated and compatible with one another and the complete set up is too time consuming. Again we keep it simple and affordable!
2. Mailchimp – Our Email Marketing Tool
Since we’re focusing on building our email list this year, Mailchimp is our go-to platform for newsletters and audience engagement. It allows us to send beautifully designed emails, automate sequences, and segment our list so we can provide the best content to our subscribers. Whether it’s sharing RV tips, wellness insights, or updates about our travels, Mailchimp makes it easy to stay connected with our community. We have tried many others and have found the delivery with Mailchimp to be better than others and the ease of use is a no brainer for us.
On the first day of each month we send out a recap of our life on the road, RVNomad Lifestyle Tips and our upcoming travels and events. We would love❤️ for you to join our newsletter here
3. Canva – Our Graphics & Design Tool
For all our social media posts, blog graphics, and digital product designs, Canva is a lifesaver! It’s user-friendly, offers tons of templates, and helps us create professional-looking visuals without needing a background in graphic design. Whether we’re designing promotional materials for our coaching sessions or creating fun reels for social media, Canva ensures our content stands out.
One of our favorite Canva tasks that saves us time and allows us to easily share our photos is creating collages like the one below.
4. Google Analytics - Monitoring Our Website Traffic
Keeping track of who visits our site, what they engage with, and how they find us is key to growing our online presence. Google Analytics provides all the insights we need to understand what’s working and where we can improve. We use it to check traffic sources, page views, and trends so we can optimize our content and make data-driven decisions. Strikingly does include analytics but we can dig a bit deeper by using Google Analytics
5. Verizon Orbic – Our Internet Connection
Reliable internet is non-negotiable when running an online business from the road. We use the Verizon Orbic hotspot, which gives us solid connectivity in most places, even in remote locations. While no solution is perfect in every situation, Verizon’s coverage has been one of the best options for keeping us online while moving across the country. We supplement it with campground WiFi and other backup options when needed. This tiny device is powerful... We stream movies and work on our devices without issues.

Why This Tech Works for Us
We chose these platforms because they are reliable, user-friendly, and flexible enough to fit our nomadic lifestyle. As full-time RVNomads, we need tech solutions that are easy to manage, don’t require a physical office, and allow us to stay connected with our audience wherever we go.
Do you have a favorite tool that makes your RV lifestyle or online business easier? Drop it in the comments – we’re always looking for great recommendations!
