On September 27, we traveled from Barksdale Air Force Base to Fun Town RV Park at Winstar in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
Having never camped at a Casino before, we weren't sure what to expect, we were pleased with the check-in process and how well the campground was maintained. Additionally we were happy to learn that, you will receive a free night when you sign up for the casino's player card. Yes, we signed up! The nightly fee is $20.00 per night which is a great deal!
Paved back-in and pull-through sites are available with water and sewage hookups, as well as electricity at 50, 30 and 20 amps.
The size of our site and the space between spots was very pleasing to us.
In addition to its walking trail, the park has a swimming pool, a playground, a basketball court, and a laundry facility.
We were happy to be able to use the picnic area for our Virtual Fitness Class. The ceiling fans kept us cool and the campground's feathered resident joined us for a few minutes.
Scissortail Golf Course at WinStar Golf Club is directly behind the campround and offers 18 holes of championship golf for new and experienced golfers alike.
Casino shuttles are available, but we opted to drive Little Baby. WinStar Casino is less than a mile from the campround and has the largest collection of electronic and table games anywhere in the world. We didn't bring home a big win but we did receive a comp'd dinner.
We really enjoyed our stay at Fun Town RV Park at Winstar Casino and will look into other casino campgrounds, we just hope they turn out to be as nice.
