This family-friendly haven promises an unforgettable camping experience, surrounded by the beauty of nature and offering a plethora of activities for all ages. In this review, we'll delve into the wonders of Mountain Pines Campground located in the Allegheny Foothills of Pennsylvania.
We knew from our first encounter with the staff this was going to be a great experence. When we first arrived, we had a little hiccup. After unhooking Lil baby our Fiat 500, we discovered the battery had died. Without hesitation, the staff jumped into action and helped us out.
The sites at Mountain Pines campground are gravel back-in sites and aren't big rig friendly. This 100 year old campground was built way before big rigs existed.
The sites have full hookups and picnic tables and there's plenty of space between sites. There are also several clean restrooms/bathhouses in the campground.
Below you can see Lil Baby (our fiat) just fit in the spot in front of our 24ft Entegra Odyssey. Not a bad thing, we just want to let our readers know about the size of the sites at this 100-year-old campground.
If you don't own an RV, you can still enjoy the campground. There are cabins available for rent that sleep as few as 4 people and larger ones that sleep up to 9 people. Each cabin comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, a cozy living area, and a private outdoor space. It's the perfect spot for a family vacation!
We look forward to returning with our family and renting a cabin. We can spend quality time together, exploring the area, playing games, and making memories. There are also tent sites that have water and electric.
Okay now on to the super fun stuff!
The events offered at Mountain Pines Campground are truly like no other.

We didn't even scratch the surface of all the fun things there are to do at MountainPines Campground during our short stay.
One thing that we truly enjoyed was this swing with a firepit located directly across from our RV. It's beautifully lit up at night and is a great place to go and relax with a good book during the day.
There are a large number of seasonal sites at Mountain Pines Campground that are available from April 15th - October 31st. We even explored the possibility of purchasing one for future use.
